Q. 11. What schemes are being operated by H.P State CAMPA?
Ans. H.P. State CAMPA provides funds for various sectors and as per stipulations laid down by the Government of India while approving diversion of forest land for non-forestry use. Typical sector of H.P. State CAMPA are (i) Compensatory Afforestation, (ii) Catchment Area Treatment Plans, (iii) Wildlife Management Schemes, (iv) Rim plantation scheme of Kol Dam reservoir, (v) Soil and Water Conservation Scheme (specific to a forest diversion case), (vi) Reclamation Plan (specific to a forest diversion case), and (vii) Net Present Value.
    Funding in respect of sectors listed (i) to (vi) are based upon scheme documents submitted with the forest diversion proposal and are meant to be spent on locations already       identified. Funds in respect of sector of Net Present Value can be spent on various activities anywhere in the State.

(a) Rehabilitation of Lantana infested areas
(b) Rejuvenation of forest springs
(c) Inventory system for chil trees under resin tapping
(d) Landslide control/ stabilization using Jute Geo-textile
(e) Construction of van sarovers
(f) Support for Information Technology in forestry
(g) Support for Monkey Sterilization Programme.
