Q.6 Who are the implementing agencies of H.P. State CAMPA?
Ans. H.P. State CAMPA is primarily a Fund Management Authority. The actual works are carried out by the field offices of H.P. Forest Department, who have been designated as the Implementing Agencies. Apart from H.P. Forest Department, offices of Directorate of Urban Development and Directorate of Environment also carry out works.

Q.7 From where does the H.P. State CAMPA gets its funds?
Ans. The amounts realized from the user agencies as statutory levies (like Compensatory Afforestation, Additional Compensatory Afforestation, Penal Compensatory Afforestation, Catchment Area Treatment Plans, Net Present Value, Wildlife Schemes, Soil and Water Conservation Schemes, Reclamation Schemes etc.) under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 are deposited into the account of State CAMPA. These accounts are controlled by the ADHOC CAMPA. This is a common pool account in which all such levies are deposited. The ADHOC CAMPA releases funds to the State CAMPA based upon its Annual Plan of Operations (APOs), duly approved by the Steering Committee.
