Ans. ADHOC CAMPA operates at the National level, while State CAMPA operates at the State level. In each State, a CAMPA is operational.

Ans. The State CAMPA can be considered as a Special Purpose Vehicle which provides and integrated frame work for utilizing multiple sources of funding and activities related to protections and management of forest wildlife.

Q.5 How does the State CAMPA function?

Ans. The state CAMPA functions under a three tier governance structure. At the apex level, it is guided by a Governing Body under the Chairpersonship of Honorable Chief Minister. At another level, the Steering Committee under the Chairpersonship of the Chief Secretary, approves the Annual Plan of Operations and monitors the progress of utilization of funds. Day to day execution is supervised by the Executive Committee functioning under the Chairpersonship of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. The Executive Committee prepares the APO and is responsible for supervision of the work and submission of accounts.
